Serious screen acting training in Italy for actors who already have a foundation and want to work further. Florence is the base for the live intensives, with five-day, four-week and online formats for actors coming from Italy and abroad.
With Raja Sethi, working screen actor and creator of The Human Actor. For international actors, English is the main working language. Italian is available for actors who want to work a scene in Italian. Italian actors can also choose to act in English. The focus remains the acting itself, not accent or pronunciation coaching.

The Human Actor is not a collection of emotional tricks and the training is not built around access to a casting room. The work is about developing a repeatable acting process: preparing deeply enough that, when the scene begins, you can stop showing the preparation and actually listen, react and play.
The formats below are different in length, but they share the same standard: specific work, a small room and attention to the actor's craft.
Coming to Italy to train as an actor?
The live work happens in Florence, but it is not conceived as local training for Florence alone. H.I.T. is a five-day intensive so an actor can travel from another Italian city or another European country, work seriously for one concentrated week, and return home without relocating for a semester or a year.
If you are searching for a film acting course in Italy, screen acting classes in Italy or an acting workshop in Italy taught in English, look first at the kind of work being offered. The aim here is not to collect techniques or perform for access to somebody in the industry. It is to strengthen the actor's own craft and build work that survives the close-up.
