4-Week Screen Acting Intensive in Italy

A one-month intensive built around one role and one complete story. We study the full script, follow the character's transformation from beginning to end, and take two or three pivotal scenes through psychological, physical, vocal and camera preparation. The aim is to work as if you had actually been cast in the film or television series. For international actors, English is the main working language. Italian is available if you want to work in Italian. Working in English means acting in English, not accent or pronunciation coaching.

H.I.T. is a concentrated five-day intensive. Two weeks let us begin the wider character process. Four weeks give us enough time to take one character through a complete preparation journey: understand the full story, map the transformation, build the human being, and test that work repeatedly in substantial scenes.
We do not jump through disconnected exercises. Each actor works deeply on one role and two or three pivotal scenes chosen from different stages of the character's arc. You are not preparing an exercise. You are preparing a role.
Whole Script
Read the entire story with purpose. Circumstances, history, relationships, conflict and structure give the actor a map before performance choices begin.
Character Architecture
Needs, mask, wants, objectives, relationships, actions, internal life and behaviour are built as a connected human system rather than isolated choices.
Two or Three Pivotal Scenes
We choose major scenes from different stages of the story so the actor can experience how the same person changes while remaining psychologically coherent.
Physical Identity
Posture, weight, tension, walk, gesture, rhythm, space and the body's history are developed until physicality stops looking added and begins to belong to the person.
Voice, Action & Behaviour
Voice and rhythm grow from the character's body and circumstances while objectives and actions meet real stimuli and produce living behaviour.
Camera Integration
The work is brought into framing, marks, continuity and repeated takes without turning the actor's attention inward or sacrificing the character's life.
Raja Sethi's own training began within major acting traditions and continued through years of professional work, teaching and study. The Human Actor grew from that foundation into its own end-to-end process, from the first encounter with a script to character construction, rehearsal, action, reaction and performance. This intensive follows that process rather than assembling exercises from different schools.

The programme is designed for actors travelling from Italy and abroad. For international actors, English is the main working language. Italian is available if you want to work in Italian. The goal is to take a single character through a serious preparation process and understand how analysis, body, voice, scene work and camera can become one coherent craft.
Four weeks in Florence, built for actors who want to go deeper.
This is the longer alternative for actors who are looking for serious film acting training in Italy rather than a weekend introduction. The month gives us enough time to stay with one role, one story and the consequences of the character's choices instead of treating each scene as an isolated exercise.
Actors can travel to Florence from elsewhere in Italy or from abroad for the intensive. International participants work in English; Italian is available for actors who want to work in Italian.
