Set in present-day Siena, Il Segno della Croce is a character-driven noir crime project shaped by investigation, psychological tension and moral ambiguity. The city is not a backdrop but part of the dramatic identity of the story.
The project draws inspiration from contemporary Italian crime and from the cultural memory surrounding Tuscany's darker criminal history, including the Monster of Florence case, without retelling or adapting it. The characters, crimes and central narrative are original.
Developed by Raja Sethi and Stefano Bernini as a treatment with potential for either a feature film or a limited series. Full project materials are shared privately for professional production enquiries.
