5 Days. 2 Weeks. 4 Weeks.

The three formats are not the same workshop stretched across more days. The longer the training, the further we can move from immediate scene work into the complete preparation of a character. The prices below are indicative international tuition, used now so that your expression of interest reflects a realistic financial decision.

01 · Foundation

5-Day H.I.T. Masterclass

Five intensive days

Learn and apply a fundamental part of The Human Actor through concentrated scene and camera work. The focus is on truthful behaviour, real listening, playable action and presence inside the circumstances, then testing that work under the demands of the camera.

  • H.I.T. framework and scene objectives
  • Listening, action and genuine response
  • Scene work and practical camera training
  • Small group, maximum 12 actors
  • Final prepared scene in front of the camera
Indicative tuition€800
03 · Character Preparation

4-Week Screen Character Intensive

Prepare a role, not an exercise

Four weeks allow one character and one complete story to become the centre of the work, as if you had actually been cast in a film or television series. We study the full script, follow the character's transformation from beginning to end, and develop two or three pivotal scenes from different stages of that journey. Emotional, psychological, physical and vocal work are built together before the character is repeatedly tested in rehearsal and on camera.

  • Full-script analysis and the character's complete arc
  • Two or three pivotal scenes from different stages of the story
  • Psychological, emotional and relational character construction
  • Physical identity, rhythm, movement and voice
  • Camera integration while preserving action, reaction and inner life
Indicative tuition€2,300

Final tuition is confirmed only if a city moves into the application stage and may vary slightly according to venue and local production costs. Joining the priority list requires no payment. Four weeks do not promise to make anyone a complete actor. They give us enough time to take one role through a serious professional preparation process.

Who the work is for

Built for Actors. Valuable Beyond Acting.

The Human Actor International is designed primarily for actors who want serious screen acting, character development and a repeatable professional preparation process. Because the work examines character from the inside, it can also be valuable to screenwriters developing human behaviour on the page and film directors who want to understand the actor's process and communicate direction more effectively.

Primary

Actors

For trained, training or working actors who want to deepen script analysis, character preparation, behaviour, action, reaction and acting for camera.

Also Relevant

Screenwriters

For writers who want to understand needs, relationships, objectives, subtext and character transformation from the actor's point of view.

Also Relevant

Film Directors

For directors who want a clearer understanding of how actors prepare, respond and work, and how direction can communicate playable actions rather than results.

The Human Actor: The Joyful Science of Living a Lie by Raja Sethi
The system behind the training

What Is The Human Actor?

The Human Actor is the complete acting process I developed through years of training, professional work and teaching. My own training began inside major acting traditions, including Stanislavski, Strasberg and Adler, and I continued studying different approaches to the craft. That foundation is part of where I come from, but The Human Actor is not a collection of techniques taken from different teachers. It developed into its own process, from the first encounter with a script through analysis and character construction to rehearsal, action, reaction and performance.

It does not ask the actor to manufacture emotion for an audience. It asks the actor to understand the circumstances, the human being, the need, the relationship and the action deeply enough that behaviour can emerge when the scene is alive.

The work can involve script analysis, character history, needs, objectives, physical identity, voice, rehearsal and camera work. The longer formats exist because serious preparation needs time. Technique should ultimately free the actor to listen, respond and play, not make the actor monitor themselves while performing.

Text before resultUnderstand the material before deciding how the scene should look.
Action before displayWork toward the other person and the objective rather than demonstrating emotion.
Character from inside and outsidePsychology, relationship, body, rhythm and voice are developed as one human system.
Preparation for freedomDo the detailed work beforehand so that performance can become responsive and alive.

Screen Acting Masterclasses, Workshops & Intensives by City.

This is not a touring calendar. It is a demand test for professional screen acting masterclasses, workshops and acting intensives in English. Select a city only if you would genuinely consider attending at the indicative prices shown above. When enough serious interest develops, that city can move toward applications.

Sweden

Screen Acting Training in Stockholm

For actors searching for an acting workshop, screen acting intensive or Method-informed camera training in Stockholm, taught in English and built around serious scene and character work.

Germany

Screen Acting Training in Hamburg

For actors in Hamburg and northern Germany seeking a professional acting workshop, acting-for-camera intensive or deeper character training in English.

Norway

Screen Acting Training in Oslo

The Human Actor is exploring Oslo for actors who want professional screen acting training in English and who take preparation as seriously as performance. The work is not about manufacturing emotion for the camera. It is about building the role clearly enough that, when the scene begins, the actor can stop demonstrating the work and respond to what is actually happening with the partner. Text, circumstances, character, behaviour, camera awareness and scene work all serve that goal. For actors searching for an acting masterclass, acting workshop or advanced film acting training in Oslo, this would be a focused international room rather than a general beginners course. The process has to be practical, repeatable and useful on the next role. No Oslo edition is confirmed. Registering interest tells us whether the demand exists and which format actors would realistically attend.

Norway

Screen Acting Training in Bergen

Bergen is a separate question from Oslo. Actors in Bergen and Western Norway should not have to assume that every serious international training opportunity belongs only in a capital city. The Human Actor is exploring whether there is enough real demand to bring professional screen acting work in English to Bergen itself. The focus would remain the same: prepare the text and the human being behind it with precision, work with the partner, then meet the camera without forcing a result. The aim is not to collect techniques. It is to build a process an actor can use again on the next script, rehearsal and set. For actors looking for an acting masterclass, screen acting workshop, film acting intensive or acting for camera training in Bergen, this page is a measure of interest, not an announced event. If the demand is genuine, we can build from there.

Denmark

Screen Acting Training in Copenhagen

For Danish and international actors seeking acting-for-camera training, scene work and a professional screen acting intensive in Copenhagen, taught in English.

Italy

Screen Acting Training in Milan

For actors in Milan looking for advanced film acting rather than a general introductory course, The Human Actor is exploring a future professional intensive taught in English for an international group. The work begins with the craft: text, circumstances, the human being inside the role, the partner and the practical demands of the camera. Preparation matters because it should give the actor something reliable to stand on, then leave enough freedom to listen and respond when the scene is actually happening. This is the territory of H.I.T. and The Human Actor: serious screen acting, acting for camera and character work built to be usable beyond one class or one scene. No Milan edition is confirmed yet. Registration here simply measures genuine interest in an acting masterclass or film acting workshop in Milan.

Raja Sethi, actor, writer and creator of The Human Actor
Raja Sethi

Actor. Writer. Creator.

I am an Italy-based screen actor, writer and creator of The Human Actor. I have worked professionally in film and television since 2012. In the training room I work as an acting teacher, continuing to investigate how an actor can prepare deeply without becoming trapped inside technique.

I trained within major acting traditions and spent years testing what preparation actually needs to do when a role arrives. The Human Actor grew from that foundation into an end-to-end process of its own. I do not want actors to imitate me or become loyal to a label. I want them to understand the craft deeply enough to build a reliable process they can eventually make their own.

The Work Has to Be Usable.

The Human Actor is not being built as a promise of transformation in a weekend. The measure is whether an actor leaves with clearer, repeatable tools that can be tested again on the next role.

Screen acting training · Questions actors actually ask

Before You Register Interest.

If you are comparing acting workshops, screen acting intensives, acting-for-camera courses or longer actor training in Europe, these are the distinctions I want to make clear.

What is The Human Actor?

The Human Actor is a complete acting process I developed to connect rigorous preparation with living performance. It brings script, character, physical and vocal work, rehearsal and camera practice into one coherent craft without asking the actor to manufacture emotion. The methodology itself is understood through practice.

Is H.I.T. a screen acting masterclass, intensive or acting workshop?

H.I.T. is positioned first as an advanced film acting masterclass. Actors may also encounter it while searching for a screen acting intensive or acting workshop, but the five-day format is concentrated professional training with a maximum of 12 actors, practical scene work, direct feedback and camera work. It is not a drop-in class and it is not designed as a first introduction to acting.

Is the international training taught in English?

Yes. The Human Actor International is taught in English so actors from different European markets can work in the same room. Italian is also available when an actor wants to work material in Italian. The focus is the acting work itself, not language or accent coaching.

What is the difference between a 5-day, 2-week and 4-week acting intensive?

Five days concentrate on foundational H.I.T. scene and camera work. Two weeks open into a deeper character and scene process, with more time for analysis, relationships, subtext and substantial scene work. Four weeks let us study one complete script and follow one character's transformation from beginning to end, emotionally, psychologically and physically, using two or three pivotal scenes from different stages of the story. You are not preparing an exercise. You are preparing a role.

Is this Method Acting? Is The Human Actor based on Stanislavski, Strasberg or Meisner?

The Human Actor grew out of my own training and years of work as an actor and teacher. I trained within major acting traditions, including Stanislavski, Strasberg and Adler, and continued studying different approaches to the craft. That background is part of where I come from, but The Human Actor is not a collection of techniques taken from different teachers. It developed into its own process, from the first encounter with a script through analysis, character construction, rehearsal, action, reaction and performance. The aim is to give the actor a clear professional process that can eventually become their own.

Is acting for camera fundamentally different from theatre acting?

The internal process is not fundamentally different. The character still needs circumstances, relationships, objectives, actions and a living response. What changes are the mechanics of delivery. A camera and microphone register very small behaviour, so the actor does not need to demonstrate what the audience should feel. Technical requirements such as framing, marks, continuity and repeated takes are trained until they can coexist with the inner work.

Can theatre actors attend a screen acting intensive?

Yes. A theatre background is valuable. The question is not whether you have already worked extensively on camera, but whether you have a real acting foundation and are ready to adapt the scale and technical demands of your work without abandoning the inner process.

Do I need to be a professional actor?

You do not need a long professional CV, but H.I.T. is not designed for complete beginners. You should already have training, theatre experience, serious independent practice or professional work that gives you a foundation to build on.

Are Stockholm, Hamburg, Oslo, Bergen, Copenhagen or Milan already confirmed?

No. These are potential 2027 markets being explored. Registering interest is not an application, booking or payment. If enough serious demand develops in one city, practical feasibility is checked and applications may then open. Only after that can an edition be confirmed.

Priority list · Market validation

Tell Me What You Would Actually Attend.

I would rather open one strong edition where actors genuinely want the work than announce six cities and hope people arrive. Your answers help decide the city, the training length and whether an edition is economically realistic before anyone is asked to pay.

01
You register interest

Choose your city and every format you could realistically attend at the indicative tuition shown.

02
Demand becomes visible

Qualified interest is compared city by city. Nothing is announced simply because a city sounds attractive.

03
Applications may open

If a city reaches serious demand, venue, travel, production and dates are checked before applications are invited.

04
Only then can an edition be confirmed

No one is asked to pay simply to validate an idea.
