What is H.I.T.Cos'è H.I.T.
H.I.T. è la struttura attraverso cui The Human Actor osserva il comportamento dell'attore in scena. Il lavoro si concentra sul modo in cui stimolo, pensiero e azione si trasformano in comportamento vivo sotto precise circostanze drammatiche. Nel corso della Masterclass, il sistema verrà applicato progressivamente dal testo fino all'esecuzione davanti alla macchina da presa, permettendo all'attore di costruire un processo organico invece di affidarsi a risultati esterni o intenzioni astratte.H.I.T. is the structure through which The Human Actor observes the actor's behaviour in a scene. The work focuses on the way stimulus, thought and action transform into living behaviour under precise dramatic circumstances. During the Masterclass, the system is applied progressively from text to execution in front of the camera, allowing the actor to build an organic process instead of relying on external results or abstract intentions.

The actor's process beyond the surfaceIl processo dell'attore oltre la superficie
You bring a prepared scene used as a starting point to observe the actor's process beyond the surface of performance. We begin to identify where control originates, where listening breaks down, and where the need for result replaces the truth of action. From this analysis, work on assigned scenes begins, selected from theatrical texts. Each actor works on two materials: a scene with a partner and a monologue. From text to dramaturgical structure, we explore story, needs, atmosphere, circumstances and relationships of the character. The work focuses immediately on human behaviour, on listening, and on building an organic process capable of transforming the scene from something to be executed into something to be lived.Porti una scena preparata che verrà utilizzata come punto di partenza per osservare il processo dell'attore oltre la superficie della performance. Inizieremo a individuare dove nasce il controllo, dove si interrompe l'ascolto e dove il bisogno di risultato prende il posto della verità dell'azione. A partire da questa analisi inizierà il lavoro sulle scene assegnate ai partecipanti, selezionate da testi teatrali. Ogni attore lavorerà su due materiali: una scena con un partner e un monologo. Dal testo alla struttura drammaturgica, esploreremo storia, bisogni, atmosfera, circostanze e relazioni del personaggio. Il lavoro si concentrerà immediatamente sul comportamento umano, sull'ascolto e sulla costruzione di un processo organico capace di trasformare la scena da qualcosa da eseguire a qualcosa da vivere.

Starting from the assigned scenes, we begin to build the character's behaviour through needs, objectives, obstacles and relationships. Layer by layer, the work shifts from the idea of the character to their organic reality: no longer something to represent, but a human being who thinks, reacts and acts under precise circumstances. The focus is on building a living process capable of generating presence instead of external indications.Partendo dalle scene assegnate, inizieremo a costruire il comportamento del personaggio attraverso bisogni, obiettivi, ostacoli e relazioni. Strato dopo strato, il lavoro si sposterà dall'idea del personaggio alla sua realtà organica: non più qualcosa da rappresentare, ma un essere umano che pensa, reagisce e agisce sotto precise circostanze. Il focus sarà sulla costruzione di un processo vivo, capace di generare presenza invece di indicazioni esterne.

We introduce the work on Psychophysical Action through the system developed in The Human Actor. Every scenic behaviour is built from precise impulses, needs and actions capable of generating a real response instead of a simple mental intention. The work enters progressively into the body, the rhythm, the relationship and the capacity to act under specific circumstances, allowing the structure built in previous days to transform into concrete living experience.Introduciamo il lavoro sull'Azione Psicofisica attraverso il sistema sviluppato in The Human Actor. Ogni comportamento scenico verrà costruito a partire da impulsi, bisogni e azioni precise, capaci di generare una risposta reale invece di una semplice intenzione mentale. Il lavoro entrerà progressivamente nel corpo, nel ritmo, nella relazione e nella capacità di agire sotto circostanze specifiche, permettendo alla struttura costruita nei giorni precedenti di trasformarsi in esperienza concreta e viva.

The work now meets the technical demands of the camera. Through different framings and set dynamics, we explore how body, behaviour and energy change in relation to the camera, learning to maintain listening, timing and organicity even under pressure. The day is dedicated to the concrete preparation of the scenes to be filmed the following day, allowing actors to face changes, sudden directions and technical adjustments without losing the truth of action.Il lavoro incontra ora le esigenze tecniche della macchina da presa. Attraverso diverse inquadrature e dinamiche di set, esploreremo come il corpo, il comportamento e l'energia cambiano in relazione alla camera, imparando a mantenere ascolto, tempi e organicità anche sotto pressione. La giornata sarà dedicata alla preparazione concreta delle scene per telecamera che verranno girate il giorno successivo, permettendo agli attori di affrontare cambiamenti, indicazioni improvvise e adattamenti tecnici senza perdere la verità dell'azione.

The last day is dedicated to bringing in front of the camera the scenes prepared during the previous four. The work takes place inside the school, recreating the dynamics, seriousness and level of precision required on set. Each scene is personally directed by Raja Sethi. The last day is run like a real set: the times, the roles and the discipline of a shooting day.L'ultimo giorno è dedicato a portare davanti alla telecamera le scene preparate nei quattro giorni precedenti. Il lavoro si svolge all'interno della scuola ricreando le dinamiche, la serietà e il livello di precisione richiesti sul set. Ogni scena è diretta personalmente da Raja Sethi. L'ultimo giorno è gestito come un vero set: i tempi, i ruoli e la disciplina di una giornata di riprese.

Born in New Delhi and raised in Tuscany, Raja Sethi has worked professionally in cinema since 2012. His training spans years of rigorous work across the Stanislavski tradition, the Strasberg Method, the Meisner Technique, and physical action approaches. His research was deepened through intensive study with Joseph Ragno, Adriano Davi, Susan Batson and Carl Ford, alongside years of investigation into the work of Stella Adler, Larry Moss, Uta Hagen, and David Mamet.Nato a New Delhi e cresciuto in Toscana, Raja Sethi lavora professionalmente nel cinema dal 2012. La sua formazione attraversa anni di lavoro rigoroso nella tradizione Stanislavski, il Metodo Strasberg, la Tecnica Meisner e approcci basati sull'azione fisica. La sua ricerca è stata approfondita attraverso lo studio intensivo con Joseph Ragno, Adriano Davi, Susan Batson e Carl Ford, accanto ad anni di indagine sul lavoro di Stella Adler, Larry Moss, Uta Hagen e David Mamet.
In parallel, he dedicated years to the study of psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, embodiment, and emotional regulation.
